Script:

Lou Foo:          [shouting] Yaaah …! Here we have him! Here he is, tight in our hands, a

Half-million-dollar-man, safe in our hands!

Ah Kow:          Hey, Lou Foo, don’t shout so loud. Someone will hear you. Someone will

come.

Lou Foo:          [snarling contemptuously at him] Ahh, shut up with your whining – This is

miles away from anywhere. No one will hear. I’m sick of you, Ah Kow,

always scared of this and that.

Ah Kow:          Brother, don’t talk like that – I was the one who hung around all day to

watch Chin’s movements. I watched him going in and out of his house,

going up and down, and then I told you when was the good time to grab

him.

Ah Chye:          And I hand the idea to make a phone call, to get his bodyguards out of the

way.

Lou Foo:          [turning savagely on them] You told! You had the great idea! Now that it’s

gone well you start to take credit! You yellow-face dog, you wet-mouth

little boy, without me you two are nothing; you cannot steal the coins from

beggar who has no legs. [threatens AH CHYE] You, Ah Chye, you think you

are so smart: why don’t you go and run a gang of your own? You like to

get out of mine?

Ah Chye:          No brother, no, no.

Lou Foo:          And Ah kow, you are cleaver to do many things. Maybe you think you are

Too cleaver to be my number two; maybe you think you should be number

one around here!

Ah Kow:          No, Lou Foo. You are the boss.

Ah Ngow:        [in his slow, stupid way] Lou Foo, don’t get angry. You are theleager. You are

are our big brother. All of us knows.

Lou Foo:          [laughing harshly] Yup! Ah Ngow is the smartest one of the lot of you! I am

the leader. I am the boss. All of you better remember it and then you can

live longer.

[LOU FOO paces up and down, no one dears to speak. He comes to look at the prisoner.]

Lou Foo:          Hey, this baby is sleeping for too long. He must wake up, he must phone

his wife and children. [Laughing] His wife must be starting to worry why he

has not arrive home! Wake him up.

[AH KOW kneels down and is about to lightly slap the prisoner awake when LOU FOO suddenly kneels beside him]

Lou Foo:          Wait up! He doesn’t look like Chin… [Turns to face his gang] Are you sure

that you guys have not captured the wrong person?

[The rest of the gang all looked at each other worriedly and AH KOW steps out.]

Lou Foo:          Ah Ngow, search his body for any form of identification.

[AH NGOW searched the prisoner and found a wallet in the prisoner’s back pocket. He dug out the prisoner’s identification card and showed it to FOU FOO]

Lou Foo:          What! You blockheads! You have captured the wrong person! We have to

kill him in order to stop him from blowing our cover if we release him.

Ah Chye:          We can’t kill him! He’s innocent! Besides, we could do threaten him or

something to keep him from informing the police… right?

Ah Ngow:        Yea! He did not do anything wrong. Besides, we can give him a very strict

warning to keep him from telling the police like threatening to kill

someone who is very important to him like his wife for instance.

Lou Foo:          No. He will have to die. I cannot risk him informing the police once we

releases him.

[LOU FOO draws out his dagger from his pocket and tries to stab his prisoner to death. However, AH NGOW springs out from a corner and in front of the prisoner, hoping to stop the dagger on time but was too late. The dagger stabs AH NGOW in the heart instead of the prisoner. The rest of the gang saw AH NGOW’s fell on the floor and decided to leave and freed CHIN.]
